Press Releases

05/2/2019

The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles has implemented a six-month driver’s license reinstatement fee debt reduction and waiver program for offenders whose driver’s licenses have been suspended for specific violations. The program only applies to a driver’s license or permit suspension. It does not apply to a commercial driver’s license or permit suspension. To be eligible for a reduction in fees, all court-ordered sanctions except payment of reinstatement fees must be completed, and at least 18 months must have expired since the end period of the suspension. For a complete waiver of fees, proof of indigence must be shown by providing a screen shot of current SNAP case status information from Job and Family Services.

To assist the public, the Fairborn Municipal Court Probation Department and Ohio Means Jobs will be available during the following times at the following locations through July 31, 2019:

  • Monday- Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Fairborn Municipal Court, 1148 Kauffman Ave, Fairborn
  • Wednesdays at Ohio Means Jobs, 581 Ledbetter Rd, Xenia, from the hours of 10 a.m.– 12 p.m. (Staff will be available to provide the needed SNAP information for the waiver request)
  • At the following Greene County Library branches
    1. Fairborn Community Library 1 E. Main St, Fairborn on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
